Read this: a church asked an older preacher for their revival. He was full of the Holy Spirit. It was an awesome revival; many were saved with many rededications. At the close, someone said that it was an awesome revival, but at your age, you need to put on the brakes. His reply, “I’m not a brakeman; I’m a fireman!” Lord, help us be “firemen and women" for you, amen.

Question: I ask myself, when the Lord returns will He be pleased with me?  I try hard, but sometimes I feel as if it’s not enough.🙄 Then I remember it’s faithfulness that He asks of us. Lord, You have blessed and delivered me; I want to be faithful, please help me, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Oh, what an awesome day Saturday was with 25 on our float. We had fun, and we shared about Jesus and our church!🎉

Our church is in the Watermelon Festival Parade. Lake Blackshear Baptist Church, we’re noisy; we’re loud; we’ll be telling about Jesus.✝️ Father, today we make the decision about tomorrow. Visitation team was on shouting ground last night.🎉 Oh, God led us and blessed us✝️. I am worshiping at Blackshear Villas this morning; the ladies put up with my preaching, my singing and my jokes.😇 We need riders on the Lake Blackshear Baptist Church float in the Watermelon Parade tomorrow, call me.😇 Father, this is Your day, help us use it wisely, amen.

Our church family was involved in ministry yesterday with WOM doing lunch for the campers at the association camp and one of our Brotherhood men cutting the lawn for a lady as she ministers to her mom and dad, and another of our WOM ladies helping them with food.🎉Oh Father, we want to minister to and reach others for You.✝️ Please guide us, help us. We do all in Your name, amen.

What do you do when you can’t do anything? Life is filled with moments of great joy. Yesterday, three more came to be part of the church family.🎉🎉 Then early this morning, I learned that a precious lady in our church (saw her yesterday in the hospital) had taken “a turn for the worst”. Now, she’s in the ICU.🙏🙏 Oh Father, we need You in all the moments in this life, we cannot make it without You.✝️ Help us, guide us by Your Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name, amen.

It’s ”Daddy’s Day”; that’s what I call my daddy, not father. Oh, I still miss him and think about him every day. I remember the things he did for me (taught me to tie my tie) and the things he taught me😇. Call your “daddy” today; I wish I could✝️. At Lake Blackshear Baptist Church today, we honor all fathers and two faithful servants who are moving away.✝️ The message today is “No Condemnation”. Come worship, amen.

Sunday is the day set aside for worship:✝️ Will we do that? Do we sometimes put God second to good things? What is the most important thing in my life? That is what I will worship.✝️ Often when we talk to people about worshiping, they have a litany of really good things they are doing. Putting good things ahead of God,✝️I’ve been guilty. Father, help us, to put You, our Creator, our Saviour first in our lives, amen?

On the road yesterday, Deacon and I visited a member near Albany (who’s living with his daughter now) then we headed to Crisp Regional to visit a faithful servant. At the hospital, (I saw so many staff and volunteers that I hadn’t seen since Covid), I prayed with another faithful servant whose daughter died at Emory.🙏🙏  I then had prayer meeting, choir practice, and a dozen phone calls.😇 No one had to rock me to sleep.😀 Father, so many need You, for healing, deliverance and guidance, oh we lift them up to You, amen.

Thought I would have to have my phone surgically removed from my ear yesterday;😅 the calls continued until last nite✝️! I go back to the days, when you picked up the phone and the operator would say, “Number, please”.😇 Father, thank You for the new technology and the opportunity to use it for You.✝️ Lord, keep my phone busy today, amen.

Got my plate loaded, my wagon full🙄 with so many things to do, so many people who need prayer and help with an encouraging word.✝️ Psalm 46:10 reminds us to be busy, no, to be still and know that He is Lord! Father, in our busyness help us to find quiet time with You, to “be still” and know You as Lord, amen.
